Reading List

I love to read. I track my reading here, using my own system instead of relying on third party systems.

I maintain three lists here. The first is for what I am currently reading, the second is for what I am going to read, and last is for what I have already read, hosted on its own page. I make use of different projects to track my current reading list according to thematic collections (e.g. awards, authors, series).

I use the ellipses ``...'' to hide much of the details to keep the initial page clean. They can be clicked to un-hide/hide the details.

Currently reading

The list here represents books that I am currently concurrently reading. I will often read the week's The Economist before I touch any of the books here.

The Mahabharata Project

The Mahabharata of Krishna-Dwaipayana Vyasa is an acknowledged epic of the ages. This and the Ramayana are two pieces of work that I would like to read at some point. And so, here this is. This version of the Mahabharata was translated into English prose by Kisari Mohan Ganguli...

The Animorphs Project

The Animorphs series was supposed to be a children's book series, but based on the various reviews that I have been seeing, the series itself has an excellent [but dark] story line that was incongruent with it being a children's series---a better classification would be ``young adults'' instead. With that in mind, I decided to start on this project to read the Animorphs series. The order here is the proposed reading order according roughly to chronology...

The [Almost] 20th Century Pulitzer Project

I tend to have a bias in the choice of books.
