Reading List

I love to read. Ever since I am done with formal education, I find myself with more time than before. I used to say that I wanted to read more classics, but now I find myself reading more than just classics. Contact me with suggestions of cool books/short stories/poems to read.

Here, I maintain three lists. One for what I am currently reading, one for what I am going to read, and one for what I have already read. There are also different projects that I use to track various collections of books that of a certain theme (e.g. awards, author, series).

Many of these lists are long (and can contain their own lists!), so look for the ellipses ``...'' to show the hidden away stuff.

Currently reading

The list here represents books that I am currently concurrently reading. I will often read the week's The Economist before I touch any of the books here.

The Animorphs Project

The Animorphs series was supposed to be a children's book series, but based on the various reviews that I have been seeing, the series itself has an excellent [but dark] story line that was incongruent with it being a children's series---a better classification would be ``young adults'' instead. With that in mind, I decided to start on this project to read the Animorphs series. The order here is the proposed reading order according roughly to chronology...

The [Almost] 20th Century Pulitzer Project

I tend to have a bias in the choice of books. To avoid that systemic problem, I have included this list of books that had won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in the years 1910--1999 (i.e. [almost] 20th century). I don't expect to finish this list since many of these books may no longer be available, but I will try my best. Read books will be struck out here and have an entry in my already read list.
